HandsOn Maui, the County of Maui Volunteer Center, is inviting nonprofit leaders, volunteer managers and community organizers across Maui County to a free virtual workshop on Oct. 21, 2026, that will explore how organizations can help cultivate volunteer loyalty.
Presented by Betsy McFarland, a Certified Volunteer Administrator and nationally recognized leader in volunteering, the HandsOn Maui session, “Designing Volunteer Engagement for Meaningful Impact,” will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, via Zoom. The interactive workshop will explore how organizations can create roles, relationships and systems that allow volunteers to contribute fully to their mission.
Other workshop topics will include:
- Beyond task completion: Learn how to transition from simply filling immediate tasks to building shared organizational ownership with volunteers.
- Connected and equipped volunteers: Discover ways to create experiences that ensure volunteers feel connected, equipped and able to see their direct impact.
- Actionable strategies: Leave with practical ways to strengthen volunteer engagement and unlock the full potential of community support.
