What is the DCMP?

Additional Information

  • Since November of 2023, the Disaster Case Management Program has provided specially trained Disaster Case Managers (DCMs) to survivors of the Maui wildfires. 
  • These DCMs act as ‘quarterback’ to help assess and address survivors’ needs through a disaster recovery plan, including resources, decision-making priorities, providing guidance, and tools. The efforts of the DCMP have helped connect survivors with community resources to help meet their needs, including temporary and permanent housing solutions, mental health services, food, transportation, utility assistance, and relocation referrals.
  • As of June 2025, the DCMP has assisted more than 6,500 survivor's total. There are currently more than 1,600 active cases serving approximately 4,000 individuals. To date, the value of the services the DCMP has helped provide is more than $136 million.
